CD8 guided IL-2

CompoundAZD6750

Area under investigation

Advanced solid tumors

Scientific PillarImmuno-Oncology

Target Overview

The cytokine IL-2 is a critical regulator of immune cell function and promotes anti-tumour immunity via T cell proliferation, survival and effector function. IL-2 is a clinically validated immunotherapy1-3 but the optimal approach to delivering IL-2 to cancer cells has yet to be achieved.

Compound Overview

AZD6750 applies cis-guiding to deliver a modified IL-2 mutein preferentially to CD8+ T cells. This approach may improve the therapeutic index of IL-2 by maintaining CD8+ T cell driven efficacy whilst limiting side effects attributed to broad IL-2R signalling4.
